But Why? Part 1

This project has given me many conflicting feelings, on the one hand, I'm learning things and it's super cool, on the other hand, the things that I don't know how to do are the things I've had to use more often, so it has taken forever to do some of the piece to get the important details on them.

I have had many failures, as seen by the above, there were many more, but I chose not to show those because quite frankly it was getting embarrassing, there were far too many prototypes in the works that were, ironically not working.

I have 5 complete pieces now, there are a couple if others in process, but the shadows fit the base are not cooperating, I have tried so many things, but alas, success has not attained just yet. I did figure out an easy way to see where some of those inner details are in some of the pieces, and there have been spots where this is helpful and others where it just made my life more confusing, but oh well, I guess that's progress.

In all honesty, this has been much harder than anticipated, and I've run into many roadblocks as I've worked, and while there were some that had easy solutions I just hadn't seen until I walked away for a few minutes. Patience has also been my best friend,  there have been a few really small parts that have needed tiny adjustments which also happen to be a pain to my eyes.
